My Creed
Below are some pinciples on which I base my personal and professional faith:
· "Rikma Enoshit"(Human Weave): The feelings we have towards each other are the essence of our lives. We find meaning in our life through our identities as parents, as brothers and sisters, as spouses, as family members and as members of communities. The modern age is characterized by alienation and estrangement. Feelings of fellowship, fraternity and loving kindness can heal this ailment.
· "Safa Yehudit" (Jewish Language): As inheritors of the revelation of Sinai we are privileged to construct our actions through the generations of Jewish culture. We should encourage learning and teaching in all cultural levels and take advantage of every opportunity to deepen the Jewish knowledge and identity.
· "Ahavat Zion" (Love of Zion): In all our actions we are obligated to the great national revival of Jewish people in their land. Since the dawn of Zionism obove the Jewish people we have vowed, as individuals and as a community, to be partners in building a national home as an exemplary society that is free and equal for all, in the spirit of the prophets of Israel. At the same breath, we are obligated to a mutual, respectful and fertile connection between Jewish people in the Diaspora and in Zion. The mission of our era is to see to the fulfillment of the Zionist prophetic vision: peace between the children of Abraham in the holy land, and the land shall blossom and prosper, being an example of knowledge and enlightenment for all humans.
· "Tikun Olam" (World's mending / healing): Privileged by our liberty, we must not ignore iniquity and injustice. Individuals and communities are obligated indomitably to act for the healing of the earth and its inhabitants, to cultivate steady and sustainable environments and allow just opportunity for all world's children.
· "Nishmat Kol Chay" (Soul of all Beings): Life itself is a blessing. This gift should be celebrated. It is a great deed to play and sing, to rejoice and feel elation at times of communal convention, at moments of excitement from creation, at moments of connection to ours and others creativity. It is a great privilege to pray with devotion. It is a pleasure to appreciate each other. Side by side, fulfilling the holy duty of being a kind and supportive human community, of pleasant ways and peaceful paths.
